The games were broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with SH winning both games. The girls’ final was 61-16 and the boys’ game ended up 73-60 after the scored was tied 32-32 at halftime.

The Hawks are 9-4 in girls’ basketball and 6-2 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference while the Rams fell to 0-12 and 0-7. Freshman Makenna Ebersole scored six points for the Rams and Sara Morlan, also a freshman, added four points. SH had 12 points apiece from Kaylen Trask, Ashlyn Erickson, and Tanna Thompson, all seniors.

SH senior Ryland Ubben scored 28 points to lead the Hawks in the boys’ game, doubling his season scoring average. The Rams had as balanced scoring as they’ve had all season with 12 points by sophomore Nathan Towers on a quartet of three-point goals. Sophomore Broc Stream had 10 points and he made a trio of three-pointers. Senior Brynley Ruzicka had three three-pointers and 11 points. Senior Gabe Ebersole had nine points and junior Isaac Carman scored eight points including two buckets from long range. The Rams sank a season best 13 shots beyond the arc.
