Drought conditions remain dry in the Raccoon Valley Radio area.

According to the US Drought Monitor, Dallas and Guthrie counties continue to be in extreme drought as they were in the beginning of the month. Two-thirds of Greene County is in the extreme category, with the northwest portion under severe. 

As of Thursday morning, Perry has received 10.3 inches of new snowfall, according to the National Weather Service. Guthrie Center has accumulated 17.7 inches of snowfall during the month of January while Jefferson did not have a report.
