Winter may be upon us, but the weather had been slow to show it.

The one thing that has started to become more prevalent is frost in the mornings. Stuart Public Works Director Jim Henderson tells Raccoon Valley Radio a few tips for safer driving.

“One thing is just allow yourself extra time in the inclement weather to arrive at your destination safely. Take the time to clean off your windows so that your visibility is not obscured and you can see everyone else and they can see you.”

Henderson mentions that it’s also important that residents know the city’s snow ordinance. He adds that this makes things easier, and safer, for city crews to clear the roads when snow starts to fall and build up.
