The Greene County FFA Chapter recently held its annual Awards Night and Jacket Ceremony.
One of the highlights was the distribution of the official blue corduroy FFA jackets to the 17 new members. The jackets were once again provided by the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association that has partnered with the local FFA chapter to sponsor the jackets for the new members. One of the keynote speakers was Kaitlyn Fields who talked about her journey with the blue corduroy jacket and then a Greene County Cattlemen’s Association board member Bill Fields helped to pass out the new jackets.
Also during the event, the chapter recognized its members for their efforts and accomplishments this past summer and fall from their career development activities. They also presented a recap of the year with activities including the crop plot, fall fundraiser and other community service events.
