
The West Central Valley Wildcats boys basketball team opened their season on the road as they visited Southeast Warren Monday night.
The Wildcats were outscored by the Warhawks in all 4 quarters, dropping the game 53-38. Senior Landon Osberg was the leading scorer for West Central Valley, putting up 21 of the team’s 38, while freshman Colton Lindsay added 5 points, and senior Nate Gerling added 4 of his own points.
Gerling and fellow senior Jacob Hill led the team in rebounds, pulling down 5 apiece, while senior Braylen Taylor hauled in 4. Gerling and Taylor added 2 steals apiece and Hill blocked 2 shots. Senior Owen Weber was the assists leader, helping teammates score twice, while Gerling and Lindsay both tallied an assist each.
