Winter sports start soon for some schools, and have already started for some others.

Panorama Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that it’s great to see the kids practicing and preparing for those first contests of the season. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he’s not the only one.

“I think kids are excited to start the competition. We’re kind of in that, just starting the contest, right? So girls, boys basketball starts, we’ve had a few wrestling meets. Middle school wrestling, I think we’ve had one middle school meet. And so, it’s just fun to get a different sport going and seeing some different kids compete at a high level. We had a full gym for our middle school game, which was a fun atmosphere to be in.”

Huebner mentions that this time of year is fun, and it’s exciting to see the students be able to showcase their talent in another sport.
