Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation is now accepting grant applications for 2024.

GGCGC Board Member Peg Raney tells Raccoon Valley Radio that with the new online system to submit those competitive applications they are hosting three sessions of a Grant Writing Workshop on Thursday at 11am, 4:30pm and 6pm at the Greene County ISU Extension Office in Jefferson. Raney points out GGCGC wants all applications to be submitted online this year and they are willing to help anyone who needs it with these workshops.

“We want our applications to feel like they are successful by putting all the information together. I know how much work it is to do that but we want it to be easy.”

Raney notes some of the benefits to having the application be done completely online includes having multiple people working on it simultaneously, stopping and starting multiple times, flagging required areas that are not completed before you submit the application, among other benefits.

All applications are due to GGCGC by February 15, 2024 and the grant awards will be done in early April. Any organization, individual or group that wants to attend one of the workshops on Thursday is encouraged to register by emailing them at growgreenecounty@gmail.com
