The AC/GC Chargers girls basketball team led a successful 2022-23 season.
The team started the season off with a 55-37 loss to Nodaway Valley, then picked up a 59-37 victory over Woodward-Granger, and a 47-37 win over Van Meter, before dropping a game 47-13 against Atlantic. AC/GC then beat Ogden 46-10 and AHSTW 45-40, before falling 59-46 against Panorama and picking up a 45-21 victory over West Central Valley before Christmas break.
Coming back from the holidays, the Chargers dropped their first game against Des Moine Christian 51-29, then picked up a 50-10 win over Madrid, and fell 68-37 against Exira-Elkhorn Kimballton. The team won 40-38 against Woodward-Granger on the road, then dropped games against Earlham and CAM 51-38 and 41-37 respectively, before picking up a 63-21 win against Ogden.
AC/GC then fell 59-31 against Panorama, and 44-32 against Interstate 35, before picking up a 34-32 victory against West Central Valley, and falling 49-37 against Coon Rapids – Bayard. To finish off the regular season, the girls picked up two road wins, the first against Pleasantville with a final score of 61-21, and then against Madrid with a score of 63-11. In the postseason, the Chargers hosted Ogden and picked up a 69-35 victory, before falling 72-45 on the road against Treynor.
