Bowling and girls’ basketball will be the first Greene County high school sports to begin the 2023-24 seasons. Coach John Woodford’s bowlers open up on Monday, Nov. 20 at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson vs. Clarke (Oscoela) at 4 p.m. Monday’s match will be the first for the Rams in school history as this is the first year of the sport here. The coach had 20 boys and six girls go out for bowling when practice started last week.

Coach Tori Ogden’s Greene County girls’ basketball team had its final tuneup for the new season last night at Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge. The Rams played Eagle Grove in two quarters at a jamboree. The regular season for Greene County starts on Tuesday, Nov. 21 vs. Woodward-Granger in Woodward for JV and varsity action.
