Friday, October 27th
10:23am: A subject advised of a Parking Complaint in the 400 Block of North Oak Street. A vehicle had been parked on the street for several days, without moving. The officer spoke to the residents and learned they are new to town. He explained several pertinent ordinances to them. The vehicle was moved.
11:52am: Mary Ganoe Danielson Stroud found a Stray Kitten in the 300 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer placed the cat in the Animal Holding Facility.
2:18pm: The Greene County High School reported they had been advised by a student that a fight between two male juveniles was going to take place. One subject was reported to be bringing a knife to the fight. The school spoke to those involved and the student turned over the knife to school officials. The school is handling punishment for the event.
3:31pm: Rich Burkhardt reported a Parking Issue near McKinley and Olive Streets. The officer located the reported vehicle, which was not violating any ordinance, or law.
5:24pm: Luis Maldonado turned in a Credit Card he found in the 300 Block of West Adams Street. The officer returned the card to the owner.
10:45pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250th Street resulted in Shannon Merical of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
11:01pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of West Reed Street.
Saturday, October 28th
12:32am: Dallas County advised a vehicle was involved in a Hit & Run Accident in Perry. The vehicle was registered in Jefferson. The officer spotted the vehicle pulling into ER and spoke to the driver. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Travis Ray Dawson, 28 of Farnhamville for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious.”
4:15am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the business at 509 East Gallop Road.
10:38am: An officer was at 305 North High Street looking for a wanted male. He was advised the subject was in the shower and spoke with him through the door. After a period of time passed and the subject did not open the bathroom door, the officer learned the subject had fled through the bathroom window. The officer searched other residences where the subject stays, but did not locate him.
1:07pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1300 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Dakota Sawhill of Scranton being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
2:19pm: Barry Steadman reported a Stray Dog in the 400 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
7:18pm: A caller advised of a Parking Complaint in the 400 Block of East State Street. The vehicle was gone when the officer arrived.
7:37pm: Micah Horn turned in a Credit card he located in the 300 Block of East State Street. The officer returned the card to the owner.
8:40pm: Amelia Burnie requested an officer at 300 East State Street, for an Unwanted Female on the property. The subject had left before the officer arrived. The officer spoke to both parties and advised them to stay away from the other.
9:20pm: Ashley Shoesmith reported a neighbor’s door was open at 501 South Chestnut Street. No one was home at the residence, so the officer closed the door.
Sunday, October 29th
3:39am: An officer located an Open Door and secured the building at 501 West Greenewood Road.
12:50pm: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Oakland resulted in Xavier Powers of Ames being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
1:10pm: A Traffic Stop near Reed and Elm Streets resulted in Carson York of Humboldt being cited for, “Dark Windows.”
1:54pm: Chrystal Thomas reported a Careless Driver in the 300 Block of North Oak Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
3:18pm: An officer removed debris from the roadway on South Elm, near 250th Street.
6:17pm: A caller advised of a Stray Dog at 1239 Rush Ridge Rd. The owner arrived and took possession of the animal before the officer arrived.
