A US Senator from Iowa was recently on a trip to the Middle East.

Senator Joni Ernst says that she made the trip to promote and celebrate the Abraham Accords, with meetings in the United Arab Emirates, and then Saudi Arabia. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the same day she and her group visited the Saudis, was when terrorists moved on an allied nation.

“That evening after meeting with leadership in Saudi Arabia is when we found out about the attacks, then that next morning on Israel.”

Ernst adds that after learning about the attacks, her group of delegates then visited Bahrain and Jordan, as they awaited clearance to get into Israel. She explains that it was important to make it in to Israel, and stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies, and discuss the attacks, and let Israeli leaders know that the United States stands with them.
