Greene County had a rare season of more football losses than wins in 2023 at 3-5, but Coach Caden Duncan’s team still had some impressive offensive accomplishments. In the three victories, the Rams scored 55, 41, and 41 points, and the offensive average for the season was just over 28 points per game.

The passing game led the way this season with seniors Gabe Eberole at quarterback and receiver Jack Hansen putting up impressive numbers. Ebersole was 95-160-5 throwing the ball with 13 touchdowns and 1,430 yards in eight games. Hansen caught the ball 54 times, for 943 yards and 10 TDs. The number of receptions is a single season Greene County record and among the highest totals of all time in the Jefferson-based program. The receiving yards is the second highest going back 17 seasons. Juniors Nick Stream with 19 receptions and Camden Strennen with 15 have the next most receptions on the team.

Ebersole was also the leading rusher with 417 yards, 6.7 yards per carry and five touchdowns on the ground. Strennen had 374 rushing yards with Stream at 322.

For the season, the Rams passed for 1,498 yards and ran for 1,129, an average of 328 yards of offense per game.
