Blaine Cox, Panora, was traveling in the 21000 block of T Ave in a farm tractor when he pulled towards the shoulder to give another vehicle more room. When he pulled to the shoulder, the trailer he was pulling slipped into the ditch and spilled it’s load. No injuries were reported and damage to the trailer was estimated at $20000. The trailer was towed from the scene.
Michael Chatelain, age 50, 1026 Luster Lane, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Mischief and Burglary.
Oct. 21
Cory Hansen, Adair, was traveling in Waukee when he attempted to elude Waukee Police. During this, he struck two Police vehicles causing and estimated $1000 in damages to each police vehicle. He then continued to Linden Dr and Windfield Parkway, where he struck another police vehicle head on. No injuries were reported from the Police Officers and Mr. Hansen was taken to a local hospital by Waukee EMS for evaluation of his injuries. Mr. Hansen’s vehicle sustained an estimated $10000 damage. The third police vehicle also sustained an estimated $10000 damage. Both of those vehicles were towed from the scene. Waukee Police are handling the local investigation and charges.
Douglas Kayser, Ankeny, was driving in the 14000 block of Hwy 141 when he hit a deer. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $3000. He was able to drive from the scene.
Danielle Peterson, age 30, 2516 Perry Park Ave, Perry, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.
Dennis Pierce, Adel, was driving in the 36000 block of N Ave when another vehicle driving by Richard Ortiz, Winterset, crossed the center line and hit Mr. Pierce’s vehicle. No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Pierce’s vehicle was estimated at $2000. Mr. Ortiz left the scene and continued driving. When stopped, he was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence and Open Container. Damage to Mr. Ortiz vehicle was estimated at $7500.

Thomas Michelson, age 41, 1903 Sugar Grove Ave, Dallas Center, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation.
