The Greene County High School volleyball team concluded its season last week, but postseason honors continue to be announced. Academic All-Conference honors from the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference were earned by eight players and a manager. Those named Academic All-Conference are juniors Maggie Mikkelsen (mgr.), Emma Shipley, Ella Shipley, Violet Reedy, Payton Kokenge, Emma Ewalt, and Hailey Carman, plus seniors Graci Cooklin and Kaylee Stalder.

Head coach Chris Heisterkamp told Raccoon Valley Radio that not only do these girls meet the conference standard of a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.00 scale as a junior or senior, but nearly all have GPA’s of 3.80 or higher, including three students at 4.00 on a 4.00 scale.
