Two Greene County High School students have earned a prestigious honor for a third time.

Seniors Gavin Vander Linden and Olivia Hoyt qualified for the Iowa High School Music Association All-State Festival. Director Dave Heupel says this is the third consecutive year both students have made All-State. There were 11 total vocal students that auditioned this past Saturday.

Band Director Wes Anderson tells Raccoon Valley Radio of the six students that auditioned for the instrumental side, Trysten Naylor made it to recalls on clarinet but wasn’t selected for All-State.

The IHSMA All-State Music Festival will be November 16th-18th at Iowa State University in Ames.
