The Greene County High School Music Department is once again preparing students for this Saturday’s Iowa High School Music Association All-State auditions.

Vocal Director Dave Heupel has 11 students who will be auditioning, including three who have previously qualified for the All-State Festival not once, but twice in their high school careers. Those students include Gavin Vander Linden, Ava Schilling and Olivia Hoyt. 

Band Director Wes Anderson has six students who will be trying out, including Trysten Naylor on clarinet, Rodney Oyres on bass clarinet, Daniel Strawn for tenor saxophone, Darian Davis on tuba, Ethan Hooper for string bass, and Bill Wright on percussion. Anderson adds Wright is the only returning student with All-State audition experience.

Greene County will be traveling to Atlantic High School on Saturday. Qualifiers will then perform at the All-State Festival in Ames on the campus of Iowa State University from November 16th-18th.
