The ADM Tigers lost their first district game this season to the Indianola Indians on Friday, October 13th. A Friday night that the Tigers aren’t going to forget as the loss was a learning result for them. The Tigers changed up their offense by moving multiple players around to adapt to Flora being unable to play at quarterback due to a sprained shoulder that he experienced the previous week. Taylor Kinney replaced him as Flora played at receiver and moving wide receiver Zach Lohmann to tailback for majority of the game. The Tigers offense struggled to get the chains moving in the 1st half, but thanks to their hard-fought defense they only kept the Indians to 10 points. But the longer the defense stayed on the field the more tired they became. The only offense positive play seen from the Tigers was a deep ball to Tyler Gelhaar and was tripped up just 3 yards away from the goal line, but the drive ended scoreless as Cam Forgy was stripped when 3 Indian defenders kept him from going down to create a force fumble. In the 2nd half the Tigers offense saw movement, but as they came close to putting points on the board, they were unable to finish on their positive drives. Resulting in being shut out with a score of 24-0, in Indianola’s favor.
The player of the game for the ADM Tigers was Wyatt Schweiger as he stopped multiple Indian rushes from being ran to the house. The strong safety ended the night with 5.5 tackles. Contributing to the score not being a bigger loss.
