The Perry Bluejays will be back on the gridiron on Friday night as they take on the Knoxville Panthers at home at Dewey Field. Perry will return home after two straight road games against Harlan and Atlantic. The Bluejays are coming off their 21-0 loss last week to the Atlantic Trojans. It was a game in which Perry struggled to take advantage of opportunities and put points on the board. They now come into this game 1-6 overall and will look to snap their 6 game skid against the Panthers.

This is a Knoxville team that is coming in at 2-5 themselves. The Panthers are led by their senior quarterback Noah Keefer. He is someone that Perry will need to contain going into this game. He has thrown for 914 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions on the season for Knoxville. Junior Kody Higginbotham and senior Connor Willis are two main weapons that Keefer likes to throw to as well. Higginbotham leads Knoxville in reception yards at 427 to go along with 27 receptions. Willis isn’t too far behind as he has 224 yards on the season with 24 receptions himself.

It is the last two home games of the season for Perry. They will look to finish strong. Shawn Kenney will  be on the call tomorrow night on KDLS. Kickoff will be at 7:30 at Dewey Field.
