The Perry offense has put up their best yardage numbers in seven seasons as the Bluejays get ready to close out the next two weeks at home.  Perry will return to Dewey Field this Friday night for a district clash with 2-5 Knoxville.  Despite getting shutout for the first time this season last week in Atlantic, Perry has improved dramatically on the offensive side of the football.  The 2017 Perry team put up 2,239 yards of total offense with quarterback Alexis Garrido and playmakers Caleb Olejniczak, Mark Campos, Reese Dunlap and Brandon Kenyon.  This season, the Bluejays have rushed for 940 yards and thrown for an additional 785, the best offensive production since that 4-5 2017 team.

Perry will look to rediscover the offensive touch Friday night.  Geren Kenney has thrown for 676 yards while rushing for 321 yards in six games this year.  Running back Keegan Synder has provided the inside power game averaging nearly 4 yards per carry.  Both Alec and Aiden Burgin have had success running the jet sweep with a combined 200 rushing yards between the two.  Three different receivers have caught double digit balls with Eric Lagos and Drake Levan leading the way.  Trae Hoffbauer has added a pair of touchdown receptions.

Perry and Knoxville will kick off at 7:30 Friday night at Dewey Field.  You can listen to the game with Shawn Kenney on KDLS starting at 6:30 and streaming at raccoonvalleyradio.com.  It has been designated as Black Out Night, with fans encouraged to wear black to Dewey Field.
