The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday.
The Council will consider for approval liquor licenses for Casey’s General Store and Los Altos Mexican Restaurant, along with tree stump removal bids for cemeteries and Lawbaugh Park, and discuss some improvements for the soccer complex. They will then discuss planning and zoning commission recommendations, and consider for approval the sale of two of the Stuart Fire Department’s fire trucks.
The Council will also consider for approval amending ordinance sections 63.04(4), 63.04(1)(B.) and 63.04(2)(A)(C), discuss a nuisance property on the 400 block of North Sherman Street, and pay estimate number four to the McAninch Corporation for $495,628.14. They will also consider for approval a partial payment of $49,105.50 to Hydro-Klean, LLC for their work on the 2023 Manhole Rehabilitation project, authorize the issuance of $150,000 taxable general obligation and hear an update from Stuart Rescue Director Sean Bovinett and Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber on the progress of the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council.
The Council will then consider for approval extra pay for the police department and traffic enforcement cameras, a resolution to adopt a procurement policy and discuss a health insurance increase for city employees. They will also consider for approval information technology services for both the city and Utility Board through Panora Fiber, a letter of engagement for a joint meeting request with Ahlers and Cooney, PC, and hear an update from Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk.
