A Humboldt man was recently arrested for an alleged sex abuse incident against a minor in Jefferson.

Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse tells Raccoon Valley Radio an investigation began on September 24th when the victim’s parents notified an officer about a sex abuse incident that took place earlier this year. Clouse says during the investigation, the suspect was identified as 41-year-old Jose Otoniel Regalado Dubon and a search warrant was executed at his home in Humboldt, with the assistance of the Humboldt Police Department, this past Friday, September 29th.

Clouse notes that Dubon was not at home but the officer spoke to his wife. Dubon then came down to the county jail and dispatch center in Jefferson on Monday, October 3rd. Clouse says when Dubon was interviewed, there was enough evidence to prompt probable cause and he was then arrested.

Dubon was charged with a Class B Felony for first degree burglary for allegedly entering the Jefferson residence against the wishes of the victim, along with two Class C Felonies for third degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child, and two aggravated misdemeanors for first degree harassment and indecent contact with a child. Dubon was booked into the Greene County Jail where he is being held without bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
