6:00am: Michael Olson 62 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for public intoxication.

11:11am: A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 2300 block of 260th Street.

1:25pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of West Main Street, Grand Junction.

1:35pm: Anthony Nunez 56 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for a probation violation.

1:43pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of South 9th Street, Grand Junction.

2:18pm: A deputy assisted the DNR with the arrest of Dawn Miller 48 of Lanesboro for a probation violation.

2:25pm: A deputy, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, Jamaica, and Bayard Fire Departments responded to a large field fire in the 1600 block of 320th Street. An estimated 100 acres of Beans and corn were burnt.

3:40pm: Dawn Miller 48 of Lanesboro was booked into the jail for a probation violation.

3:58pm: A deputy investigated an assault at the Churdan City Park, Churdan.

4:30pm: Brandon Ferguson 25 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for driving while barred.

8:25pm: A deputy, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, Paton Fire, and Churdan Fire responded to a structure fire in the 2000 block of 190 th Street. 3 out buildings were a total loss in the fire.  The fire is under investigation for suspicion of arson.

10:43pm: A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 1900 block of 205th Street.

Saturday, September 30th

6:58am: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 170th Street near W Avenue. Luis Rogue Castro 24 of Webster City struck a deer with a 2015 Toyota Corolla causing an estimated 3,000 dollars in damage.

3:12pm: A deputy assisted the Webster County Sheriff’s Office with trying to locate a runaway in the 1900 block of 130th Street.

3:51pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1000 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

4:10pm: A deputy and Scranton Fire responded to a field fire on 220th Street near Eaton Avenue.

5:50pm: Branna Mahers 21 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for failure to appear.

7:41pm: William Bingle 55 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for public intoxication.

8:09 pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 800 block of 8th Street, Scranton.

10:52pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near K Avenue.

Sunday, October 1st

9:20am: Hayley Brown 30 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

8:57am: A deputy and a Jefferson Police Department Officer assisted a Iowa State Trooper with a traffic stop and a search of a vehicle on 220th Street and Grimmell Road.

11:10am: Michael Donner 48 of Illinois was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance 1st offense and speeding 55 or under ( 21mph or over).

5:10pm: A deputy investigated a domestic on 170 th Street near L Avenue.

6:53pm: Teresa Johnson 43 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for domestic abuse assault.

10:18pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 220th Street near Orchard Avenue. Steven Zimmerman 71 of Scranton struck a deer with a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban causing an estimated 1,700 dollars in damage.

Monday, October 2nd

12:01am: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 100 block of Fitzpatrick Street, Churdan.

5:20am: A deputy, Jefferson Fire, Scranton Fire, Paton Fire, and Churdan Fire responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Sand Street, Churdan. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to assist with the investigation of the fire.

8:40am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street and N Avenue.

1:04pm: A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 600 block of Grant Street, Scranton.

1:45pm: Jose Otoniel Regalado Duban 42 of Minnesota was booked into the jail for harassment, indecent contact with a child, lascivious acts with a child, sexual abuse 3rd degree, and burglary 1st degree.

Tuesday, October 3rd

12:04am: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on West Harrison Street and South West Street in Jefferson. Dale Spaulding 54 of Scranton was arrested for driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

12:41am: A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 600 block of South 15th Street, Grand Junction.

1:46am: Dale Spaulding 54 of Scranton was booked into the jail for driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:12am: A deputy investigated an assault in the 600 block of South 15th Street, Grand Junction. Timothy Ray 49 of Grand Junction was arrested for assault.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
