Cooler temperatures have been the normal theme for the last week in Iowa, but that’s set to change over the weekend.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Ashley Bury tells Raccoon Valley Radio that temperatures are set to climb over the weekend into the beginning of next week.
“We’ve got this ridge that’s moving through which is bringing in some of that heat from the southern and western portions of this country. So at least by Friday and over the next couple of days we’ll see temperatures in the upper 80’s to low 90’s.”
Bury says by Wednesday next week temperatures should begin to fall back into the mid to upper 70’s. She advises that anyone that is going to be outside over the weekend that the weather is going to feel more like summer than fall, and be cautious about how much they physically exert themselves and remember to drink plenty of fluids.
