Both the Perry boys and girls cross country teams will participate in the Leon Fox Invite tonight at home at Perry Golf and Country Club. Both teams are coming off their outing in the ACGC Charger Invitational at AC/GC High School last Thursday night. Both the boys and girls finished in 5th place respectively in each race. They will look to build upon that going into tonight’s home meet at Perry Golf and Country Club. I asked boys cross country coach Tina Lutterman about what it’ll be like to race their home course. She said it will definitely be an advantage.

“I think there’s a huge advantage when you host the meet because you’re familiar with the course and you know where the hills are where the coast is. You know the challenging parts and where you are with the 3-2-1 part of the race in terms of how far you are into it,” Lutterman said.

The gun will go off at 5 PM at Perry Golf and Country Club. Go to raccoonvalleyradio.com after the meet is over to get results. You can also hear the results right here on KDLS.
