The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will consider for approval a liquor license for the Little Charger Early Learning Center, the second readings of ordinances pertaining to amending alcoholic beverages/cigarette and tobacco licenses and fiscal management per legislative changes effective July 1, 2023. They will also consider for approval for the first readings of a repealment of a section in an ordinance pertaining to having licenses for all terrain vehicles and utility terrain vehicles in city limits due to legal changes, and amending an ordinance pertaining to “No Parking Zones,” to add North Eighth Street on the east side from North Street to Bluff Street.

The Council will then consider annual liability and property/casualty updates, along with hearing from Karla Jenning on Region XII Council of Governments housing program updates. They will also hear department updates from City Clerk Kris Arrasmith, and discuss trick – or – treating in the downtown business district from 5-6pm and in residential areas from 6-8pm on October 21st.

The meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the City Council Chambers in City Hall. Raccoon Valley Radio will have results from the meeting tomorrow.
