A month into the school year, and Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen is happy with how things are progressing so far.

Rasmussen mentions that with Homecoming week last week, it was great to see the different businesses in the three towns with window decorations to celebrate and raise school spirit throughout the communities. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio he’s also thankful for all the support from the communities as well.

“And when I talk about support, I look back at our opening week of school, and we had the Chamber of Commerce in Adair, Casey and Guthrie Center provide us with breakfast. Guthrie County State Bank provided us lunch that morning. Association of Churches provided a lunch for staff in Guthrie Center that week.”

Rasmussen mentions that the atmosphere in the classrooms and buildings is amazing as well, and that he excited to see how fall and the rest of the year progresses, especially with the great learning environment the children are in, and the talented athletes competing in their respective sports.
