Tuesday, September 19th

1:40pm: Katrina Buttler reported a fallen tree blocking the roadway in the 200 block of South Maple Street. The Officer provided traffic control until the city crew removed the tree.

4:55pm: A Bomgaars employee reported a customer had left their wallet at the store. An Officer assisted in returning the wallet to its owner.

7:39pm: While on patrol an Officer located a vehicle having mechanical issues near the intersection of Elm Street and Lincoln Way. The Officer assisted until the vehicle was repaired.

9:09pm: A minor female reported issues with her parents occurring in the 200 block of West Lincoln Way. The Officer assisted in mediating the situation between them.

9:48pm: An anonymous caller reported a suspected intoxicated male on a motorcycle near the intersection of 220th Street and Elm Street. The Officer located the vehicle parked in the lot for the Wild Rose Casino. The driver was not found.

Wednesday, September 20th

12:14am: An Officer was dispatched to Syngenta Seeds, 300 American Ave for an alarm activation. The Officers checked the property and did not find a reason for the activation.

10:28am: Linda Pedersen reported a bat in a residence in the 400 block of North Cedar Street. The Officer looked for the bat, but could not find it.

10:38am: Conner Sackett reported a car on fire in the parking lot for Casey’s General Store. The Officer assisted the Jefferson Fire Department while the fire was extinguished. The Silver “2013” Kia Soul was considered to be a total loss.

1:42pm: David Ausberger reported a person burning items other than yard waste in the 500 block of North Wilson Street. The Officer located the burn and spoke with Stephen Murphy. He was advised only yard waste could be burned in Jefferson. He was also advised that Greene County was currently under a burn ban.

5:14pm: Kitten Day requested a welfare check on a possibly intoxicated male in the 400 block of Sunset Road. The Officer was unable to locate the male.

6:34pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Lincoln Way. As a result of the traffic stop, Terence Bingley of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Driving While Suspended” After, Terence Bingley was placed under arrest for an active Greene County Warrant for the original charge of “Possession of Marijuana”

8:01pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of M Avenue and 220th Street. As a result of the traffic stop, McKensie Bess of Carroll was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

10:17pm: Annette Hadley reported someone ringing doorbells and running away in the 1000 block of South Elm Street. The Officer did not locate the person responsible.

10:18pm: Dorena Wilson reported a motorcycle abandoned on her property near Park Avenue South. The Officer responded and made arrangements for the motorcycle to be towed to the Jefferson City Impound Lot.
