The Perry High School students are working hard to raise money.

The Perry Junior Class will have Kona Ice, a favored shaved ice company, come to  Duey Field at the Perry High School football game versus Nevada from 5 to 8pm on Friday. Student Council Advisor Benda Mintun says that this is something that students come up with and put a lot of effort into raising money that will be used for their after prom activities.

“They’re raising a lot of money for prom and they’ve been working hard at it. I know they have the canned donation. They’ve painted Perry. Ps If you’re still interested in getting a P painted on your driveway, I’m sure. And so, yeah, they really are reaching out about Kona ice and raising some funds. They come up with a lot of these ideas themselves and the kids are the ones doing the work. So definitely, definitely support the fundraisers that we have going on.”

Mintun says that a portion of the Kona Ice sales will benefit the Junior Class. She mentions that if someone wants a Perry pride blue “P” painted on their driveway to also benefit the junior class contact email here.
