Today is the first day of the Greene County Farmer’s Market.
Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning says the market will be from 4-6:30pm on the east side of the county courthouse in downtown Jefferson.
She states that the market will go on rain or shine, except for lightning, with a variety of vendors selling local food and other locally made items. Plus, Pizza Ranch will be serving a fundraiser meal at the market today.
Henning comments that the farmer’s market will go through the middle of October and she is always taking reservations for organizations to host a fundraiser meal at each market.
Plus, this year’s Bell Tower Festival t-shirts will be on sale at the market with special pricing available with youth sizes for $10, adult sizes small to extra-large is $12 and double and triple extra-large sizes are available for $15.
Call the Chamber to be either a vendor or to host a meal at 386-2155.
