The Greene County Historical Society is hosting another free program this Sunday.
The Daughters of the American Revolution’s (DAR) America 250! Committee National Vice-Chair Mary Dolan is presenting a program on the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party that was held on December 16, 1773. She will not only talk about the specific historical event, but other tea parties that were inspired by it.
The free program will be on Sunday at 2pm at the Greene County Historical Museum in Jefferson. Refreshments will also be served and will include authentic colonial-era tea served in teacups. The Greene County Historical Society and the Priscilla Alden Chapter of DAR are co-sponsoring this program.
