Thursday, September 7th

8:40am: A deputy transported and inmate from Guthrie County Jail back to the Greene County Jail.

8:58am: A deputy was advised of a traffic cone in the travel portion of the roadway in 400 blk of 220th Street.

9:15am: Jason Dane (48) of Jefferson was booked into the Greene County Jail for Gambling- False Statement on Application.

9:17am: A deputy is investigating a sex offender registry violation.

3:07pm: A deputy was advised of an accident on 220th Street and Hillcrest Avenue. Unit 1 was a Red 2018 Ford Fusion operated by Amber Haberl (28) of Carroll and Unit 2 was a Black 2018 GMC Terrain operated by Janna Gilbert (27) of Fort Dodge. Unit 1 was stopped for construction and Unit 2 struck the rear of unit 1. Janna Gilbert was cited for failure to stop in a safe and assured distance. Each vehicle had an estimated $1,000 in damages.

3:59pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 300 blk of 185th Street.

4:27pm: A deputy was advised of a property dispute in the 1100 blk of Maple Street in Scranton.

6:50pm: A deputy was advised of property being stolen. It was determined it was occurring in Carroll County.

7:56pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department in the 500 blk of West Mahlon Street for a fight.

Friday, September 8th

5:21am: A deputy assisted the Greene County Ambulance in the 300 blk of State Street in Paton.

6:28am: A deputy was advised of a careless driver entering Greene County from Webster County on N Avenue. The deputy was able to locate the vehicle and perform a traffic stop.

6:52am: A deputy responded to a car versus deer accident in the 1500 blk of 235th Street. Unit 1 was a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado operated by John Ades (47) of Rippey. Unit 1 sustained $2,000 in damages.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
