The Jayettes continue to impress in the pool as they beat the Indianola Indians last night at the McCreary Center, 83-77. Perry had 8 first places finishes and 8 personal best times on the night. The 7-0 start continues to be history for this Perry swim and dive program. The meet was scored 8, 4, 2 for relays and 6,4,3,2,1 for Individual events so the win was really a total team effort. This was a very close meet that was not decided until the final race of the night, the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Here are a couple of results. Sophia McDevitt won the 100 M butterfly for the Jayettes in a time of 1:06:35. Lilly Riley along with Emily Dowd finished in 1st and 2nd place respectively in the 100 yard freestyle. Riley had a time of 1:00:68 and Dowd had one of 1:03:18. Mahler-Moreno also won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:28: 18.

It was another great performance all the way around for the girls in the pool. They will look to keep their historic undefeated start to their season alive when they face Algona again this upcoming Tuesday at the McCreary Community Center in Perry. The meet will begin at 6:30.
