The Wildcats will be back in action tonight on the gridiron as they battle the Red Oak Tigers. Last week West Central Valley finally got into the win column as they beat the Shenandoah Mustangs 27-19. Senior Nate Gerling was 5 for 10 for 70 yards in that matchup. He also rushed for 13 yards and 1 touchdown. The game came down to the wire for West Central Valley but they were fortunately able to pull it out.

They will face a Red Oak team tonight who has struggled so far in their season as they currently sit at 2-0 on the year. The Red Oak Tigers lost last week to Clarinda 56-0 so you know they will come out hungry to avenge this game at home against West Central Valley. The Tigers also lost narrowly in Week 1 34-31 against Southwest Valley. Junior Adam Baier is one guy to be on the lookout for if you are West Central Valley as he is currently leading Red Oak in rushing yards with 218. That is a result of 36 carries on the ground for the Tigers.
