The ADM Tigers men’s football team is preparing for a challenging matchup this upcoming Friday night against the formidable Lewis Central Titans. The Titans have a history of impressive achievements in recent years, including finishing as state runners-up in the previous season and clinching the state championship just a year before that. This game will serve as a significant test for the ADM Tigers, allowing them to assess their potential for success in Class 4A, a more competitive division, compared to their previous experiences in Class 3A.
Coach Randy Schrader’s view on this matchup is straightforward, “it comes down to preparation. whether it comes down to the film room, the weight room, the practice field, whatever the case may be…it will definitely come down to whose team is prepared the best. its the best adage, not the best team that wins but the team that plays the best that wins. So we’ll control what we can control and see what happens on Friday night.” He emphasizes that regardless of any pregame expectations, the primary focus remains on preparing the athletes to the best of their ability.
Currently holding an undefeated record of 2-0 this season, with victories against formidable opponents like Newton and Winterset, the ADM Tigers are eager to put their skills to the test against one of the top teams in the state of Iowa. On the other side, the Lewis Central Titans, coming off a loss in their previous game, are determined to bounce back and secure a win as they head to Adel for this weeks matchup. This Friday’s game promises to be a moment for both teams as they aim to establish their place in the competitive landscape of Class 4A football.
