The Perry girls XC team was set to compete tonight in the Winterset Cross Country Invitational, however the race has been postponed till Thursday night due to extreme heat. The Jayettes finished in 4th place last Thursday in the Madrid Invitational Lily Myers had the leading time for Perry with a 21:31 5K time, finishing in 6th place overall. Cate Erickson was the next closest as she finished in 14th place and finished with a time of 23:28. The girls will look to improve upon that finish on Thursday at Lakeview Country Club. East Union, Van Meter, Nodaway Valley, Interstate 35, Woodward Academy, Ballard, and Winterset of course are some of the teams that will be present at the meet when it eventually kicks off on Thursday.

The gun will go off at 6:00 on Thursday night for the girls, followed by the boys at 6:30. I will provide more updates as we get closer right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com
