Junior Noah Moberg has been shooting low this fall golf season for Dallas Center-Grimes, but his goals are high.
Moberg has played in four tournaments so far this season. He has shot an average score of 74 with his lowest round coming at Jester Park in the Dragon Invitation with a score of 71 which placed him second individually. Moberg tells Raccoon Valley Radio about his aspirations this season.
“Individually, I like to place in the top five at state this year. I have a chance to win it honestly.”
Dallas Center-Grimes boys golf team has won two golf tournaments this season at the Jesse Peck Invitational and Fort Dodge Invitational. Moberg discussed how thrilled he is with how the team is performing.
“I’m really surprised that our team won two tournaments, I was not expecting that individually. This is where I’d like to be my junior year, but team wise, I’m really shocked.”
Moberg says his best club in his bag right now is the putter, but he notes he will have to improve on hitting fairways with his driver to have the ability to qualify for state. The Mustang boys golf team will tee it up at 12pm in vs. Ottumwa @ Ottumwa Country Club tomorrow .
