The Jayettes fell in both of their matches on Saturday as they participated in the SCC Early Bird tournament at South Central Calhoun Middle School. Perry lost their first match against the Pocahontas Area Indians, 2-0. The Jayettes lost the first set 21-7. They then made the second set a little closer, but the Indians eventually ended up pulling away as well as they won set number 2, 21-12. Perry then went on to face Audubon in their second match of the tournament. The Wheelers took the first match 21-12. The Jayettes then dropped match 2 by a score of 21-10.

Both losses move Perry to 0-3 to start the season. They will be back in action on Tuesday night, as they take on PCM. The match will begin at 6:30 at Perry High School. I will provide updates following the match right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
