The time frame is now open for youth to sign up to be a Greene County 4-H’er or Clover Kid.
Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says re-enrollment and enrollment for both 4-H and Clover Kids is underway. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio existing 4-H’ers and Clover Kids can re-enroll through their 4-H Online Profile and any new youth can create their own account through the same online portal. Hardaway talks about one change to the Clover Kids program that is for first through third graders.
“We did restructure Clover Kids this year. So we’re able to facilitate more kids in smaller groups. So we have “mini clubs” for Clover Kids that will be meeting at various times throughout the year. And so there will only be 15 kids in your club in three 1.5 hour sessions and then two large group sessions in December and June. So hopefully we’ll be able to facilitate more kids if they are wanting to get signed up and we’ll be able to offer this to more kids of Greene County.”
Hardaway adds there is a $15 fee to sign up for either 4-H or Clover Kids. Registrations must be completed by November 15th to avoid a $25 late fee. You can contact the Greene County Extension Office in Jefferson at 515-386-2138 or stop by with any questions.
