September for the Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be starting with a big event.
Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that it’s the time of year that 4-Hers and Clover Kids members need to enroll in their respective clubs for the next year. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the fees to enroll.
“It is $40 this year, plus a $5 enrollment fee. However our Adair County Extension Council has voted to cover that $5 enrollment fee as well as $10 off of enrollment if you are enrolled by October 31st. So that would end up making the enrollment fee just $30 to enroll in 4-H this year. We do need all members to enroll on 4honline, so Clover Kids as well must enroll on 4honline, and it is $15 for the Clover Kids.”
Savage explains that the Adair County Extension Council has paid enrollment fees for 4-H members for many years, and decided to continue the sentiment with the increase in fees so that more children would still have the opportunity to join a 4-H club. She mentions that enrollment begins this Friday, September 1st.
