The Greene County Medical Center recently purchased an updated piece of equipment with the help of a non-profit organization.
Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation awarded the Greene County Medical Center Foundation $81,500 this past April to purchase a new C-arm imaging machine. The equipment helps surgeons with gallbladder removals, insertion of ports and needle guidance for pain clinic procedures, as well as orthopedic and podiatric surgeries.. The machine will be used in almost any angle that is needed for a procedure.
The medical center’s previous C-arm was nearing end of life and the replacement parts, as well as maintenance services were no longer available. The total cost of the new C-arm was $163,000. Greene County Medical Center CEO Chad Butterfield thanked GGCGC for awarding them a grant for this much needed piece of equipment.
