The drought conditions continue to linger in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area. 

According to the US Drought Monitor, the majority of southwestern Guthrie County is in a moderate drought and the rest of the county is abnormally dry. 

A large portion of Dallas County is abnormally dry, with the southeastern corner in a moderate drought. The majority of Greene County is abnormally dry. 

According to the National Weather Service in the month of August, Perry reported 3.61 inches, Guthrie Center reported 3.15 inches and Jefferson has seen 2.69 inches of rainfall .
