Due to the extreme heat advisory that has been making its way across Central Iowa throughout the majority of this week, the Perry boys and girls first XC meet in the Southeast Valley Cross Country Invite at Gowrie Municipal Golf Course was postponed on Thursday night. Boys head coach Tina Lutterman said a makeup date has not been scheduled for this upcoming year and that they will most likely not be having a Gowrie Invitational this year. The boys and girls teams will now both switch gears and gear up for the Madrid Invitational meet next Thursday at Madrid High School.
