Last week the Guthrie Center and Panora Fire Departments held a joint training session.
According to Panora Fire Chief Matt Harmann, Guthrie Center’s Fire Department reached out to his department, and asked to do the joint training together. He mentions the two departments are close to each other, and very close allies when it comes to fighting fires, so it was a no-brainer to do the training session. Harmann says they took their aerial truck to the training, and showed GCFD how to set it up, how to use it, and how much water was needed to feed it. He adds that the training went very well, with no issues, and both departments were learning in the process together.
