The Paton-Churdan School District invites all students and their families to a new event to kick-off the school year.

The Back 2 School Block Party will be on Monday from 6-8pm at the school building in Churdan. Secretary Heather Lansman says there will be several yard games for people to enjoy and about ten businesses and organizations will have booths set up with interactive games. There will also be a free meal provided including hotdogs, chips and bottled water, along with live music from the Shuffle Couple.

Lansman adds this is also an opportunity for students to drop off their school supplies and the higher grades to pick up their laptop computers. Plus, students and parents can meet their teachers for the year.
