The Perry Public Library is partnering with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Dallas County to offer a program on child care training for adult caregivers. 

The program will be held from 6 to 8pm in the Perry Public Library Community Room. Childcare providers will learn about the proper ways to teach children about gardening. This class is for adult caregivers, who will engage in experiential learning gardening activities through crafts, literacy, container gardening, and taste-testing. 

ISU Extension Food  Health Specialist Tom Keinert will lead the class. Registration is required by August 25. Patrons can register in person or by calling the Library at 515-465-3569.
