Meet Cayden VanMeer, a senior athlete at Panorama High School, who participates in football and wrestling. His favorite college teams include the Michigan Wolverines football and Iowa wrestling. Joe Milton is his preferred athlete. Cayden’s go-to song on his playlist is “Wild As You” by Cody Johnson, and he has a pregame ritual of sitting alone with music.

In his senior year, Cayden aims to secure a school for pursuing a business degree while continuing his involvement in athletics. He credits Coach Kauzlarich, Coach McDaniel, and Coach Johnston as the most influential figures during his high school sports career due to their emphasis on hard work.

Representing his school means everything to Cayden, particularly when he puts on his helmet to play for Panorama on Friday nights. His favorite sports memory is his first varsity touchdown pass and the team camp organized by the coaches.

Looking ahead, Cayden intends to venture into business management and dreams of opening his own archery equipment business. He has a passion for the outdoors and hunting.

Two games into the Panthers season Cayden has shown that his handwork has paid off. He has thrown for 419 yards, passed for 2 touchdowns, and rushed for 1. The Panthers are currently 1-1 in the season, but not after to losing to the #1 ranked team, IKM-Manning, in class A by a single point.
