The Perry School Board met on Monday.

The Board tabled the voluntary early retirement for the upcoming school year. Three members of the Board including Jim Lutmer, Travis Landgrebe and Eddie Diaz did not feel comfortable moving forward with this item. 

They also approved the Return to Learn On-Site Plan which is required for the district to be able to receiver Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER), the 28E agreement with Gingerbread Preschool for 2023-24 and the Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates high school and middle school iJAG memorandum of understandings for the cost of $75,000. 

The Board approved the North Dallas County Head Start Food Service Agreement and the  PCDC Food Service Agreement with the Perry School District, as well as the staff employee, student and PACES parent handbooks. The Board approved the Perry Elementary at-risk supervisor position, a letter of agreement between instructor Chad Sorber and the Perry Community School District and cooperative athletic sharing agreements with boys and girls soccer, boys and girls swimming. Finally, they approved the Amendment to the Instructional & Activity Fee Schedule for 2023-2024. This amendment would increase the ticket price to the football games from $5 to $6.
