The 2022 Greene County High School cross-country season was highlighted by then-sophomore Noah Hinote qualifying for the Class 2A boys’ State Meet race. Although not among the top finishers at State north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park, Hinote became one of the few sophomore boys to qualify for the Rams. Clearly, getting back to the State Meet and improving on his finish are goals the junior has, “It’s definitely a goal of mine. Getting there last year was terrific and I’ve put in a lot of miles this summer.”

Hinote also plays basketball, runs track, and plays baseball for the Rams, so performing on a cross-country course, a basketball court, a track, or baseball diamond keeps him busy.

Hinote and the other boys and girls running cross-country for the Rams will open the 2023 season at the West Central Valley (Stuart) Invitational at the Middle School at Dexter. Jeff Lamoureux returns as head coach and Snowy Anderson is in her first year as assistant coach.
