As the Iowa State Fair continues, there have been a few results with some Greene County residents doing well.

As of Sunday, August 13th, Tanya Jackson of Scranton won first place in the open division for her decorated tiered cake. Karen and Kay Springer of Jefferson earned second place for the 18 and over most look alike contest. Kayla Muir was named reserve champion for her High Percentage Maine-Anjou beef with Greene County FFA.

Additionally, Greene County 4-H as a whole received 18 blue ribbons for static exhibits Bailey Anderson earned a Seal of Excellence Award for her communication poster and Savannah Lansman got a College of Human Sciences Scholarship for her static exhibit of a rainbow colored expandable pocket folder. 

The 2023 Iowa State Fair ends on Sunday, August 20th.
