The Greene County Historical Society is hosting another special Sunday event, but this time it’s with limited seating.

The second “Leafing through Greene County History” will be held at the Greene County Historical Museum in Jefferson at 2pm. There will be four guest speakers to highlight items in the museum’s collections. Dianne Piepel and Mikki Schwartzkopf will talk about the wedding gowns the museum has from the late 1890s through the 1970s, including a wedding nightgown from 1877. Next will be a look back of when some French magazine staff members were in Jefferson in 1953, with presenter Carol Natzel Schultz. 

The other two programs will feature an article in a monthly publication of “Realities” with stories of interest to tourists, and former Greene County businesses with Jed Mcgee. Attendees are also encouraged to share their own experiences and stories from any of the topics that will be covered.
